As most are aware, riots are going on in Benton Harbor, Michigan as a result of a "Biker", Terrence Shurin, crashing his motorcycle and killing himself while fleeing from police. First of all, this was NO BIKER. He was riding a JAP bike and running from the police. If you look at the Stats, JAP "Motorcyle Riders" run FAR more often than Harley-Davidson "Bikers". If he would have just stopped, he would have been out of jail by now. Unless he was wanted for a real crime, and I'm not sold on the fact that he was not. He had an extensive record. If you run from the police, I feel that you give up ALL of your rights by doing so. I rode Harley-Davidsons in South Florida in the 70's. The ONLY people riding Harley-Davidsons in the 70's were the Police and the Outlaws. I met plenty of "Bad" cops as a result of this. I got 42 tickets in 2 years because I rode a Harley-Davidson, but I always stopped because I knew I would be out by "Tomarrow". Most cases where dropped in court. Pain in the ass, but still better than dead. I Don't Want to Hear the Wining! Stop (When Police request it) or don't Bitch about being STUPID! (and I guess burning down your town will teach me) |
