Why no 4 strokes?
We do not build, service, or sell 4 strokes because of all the inherent problems associated with those motors. First and foremost, CORROSION! Honda's are the worst, Suzuki's are the best, and Yamaha sits right in the middle, but they ALL are built out of that Cheap Japanese aluminum. They FALL APART!
(with the exception of the larger Verado's made in USA)
WHY do you think you see so many 3 and 4 year old 4 strokes for sale as "Runs Great"? Owners KNOW at 5-6 years the problems will begin so they sell while they still run OK and buy new again. Works for RICH folks!!
We get calls DAILY with "Water in the oil"
Very common. Biggest cause is the block corroding on the exhaust adapter plate. NO FIX. Block needs to be replaced. Next would be the heads. Same problem compounded by valves collapsing. We just don't want to be a part of all that. We build the old school 2 strokes that EVERYONE remembers as the motor they had that ran FOREVER. A V-6 2 stroke has 13 moving parts compared to HUNDREDS in a 4 stroke. Another factor to consider is maintenance. 2 strokes require a water pump every 2 years, many go 5-6, 2 years is recommended. Runs $150 here. 4 strokes require an annual service that runs anywhere from $700-$1000, EVERY YEAR! While the 4 strokes save money on fuel most would agree that a THOUSAND DOLLARS a year would cover the entire fuel bill on their 2 stroke!! That alone should tell you plenty. Our customers leave here HAPPY and we plan to keep it that way. Maybe that is also why we have an A+ Rating from ther BBB for MORE than 20 YEARS!!
