Back in the Early 90's some "Genius" at OMC decided that "Lock-Tite",
on rod bolts, would give "Inaccurate" Torque readings.
Take a look at these pictures. We have seen this 4-5 times in the past 5-6 years.
Nothing more wrong than a bolt falls out (see threaded hole) and the
remaining bolt, than can not support the rod on one side, BREAKS. (see broken bolt).
How "Inaccurate" could the Torque reading be?
Just for the Record, we use Lock-Tite, on Brand New Rod Bolts,
on EVERY Motor we build.......
